Based in Larkana, the Sindh Logistics Officer works under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. He/she is a logistics management expert. He/she will be responsible for SIF's Regional Logistics function.
He/She will be:
- Part of the Logistics function team, as a key player ;
- Performing all actions and producing all documents, feedbacks of Supply chain with the objectives of effectiveness and responsiveness.
Objective 1: Logistics/Procurement Activities:
- Manage your supply chain. Develop a procurement plan in agreement with program staff prior to project commencement. Procurement of goods/services in accordance with SIF policy. Timely delivery of items to requesters. Receive ordered deliveries and track them.
- Make sure you follow all purchase instructions. Any discrepancies should be reported to the relevant parties. To maintain a record and list of suppliers and local repair/maintenance shops and compare prices among them to get the best deals. Create a monthly shopping plan.
- Let various departments know how orders are being processed.
- Check consumables (quality, price, procedure).
- Maintain inventory management (storage conditions, notifications, expiration dates).
- Confirm delivery to the department.
- Monitor device allocation and usage.
- Ensure equipment installation, maintenance and repair.
- Updated mission equipment list;
- Supervision of management, renovation and maintenance of structures necessary for operation (offices, guest houses, warehouses).
- Monitor the use of means of communication.
Objective 2: Fleet Management Activities
- Vehicle pool management monitoring:
- Maintenance, daily planning. monitor.
- Monitor and train drivers. Monitor your vehicle's regular consumption.
- Oversees regular operator checks of the vehicle and placement of all equipment within the vehicle.
- Design a weekly vehicle allocation schedule for your employees.
Objective 3: Security Activities
- CLM assistance in security assessments of buildings (warehouses, offices, guest houses, etc.)
- He assists CLM in drafting national security plans in a country-level context. Share security updates and meeting minutes with CLM.
- Join our regular security forum meetings and share the latest information.
- At the beginning of each month, we provide security personnel with a roster. Supervision and monitoring of security guards.
- Provide employee training on personal safety and travel safety
- Monthly reports and incident reports.
- Handling Foreign Travel NOCs for Project Area Visits
Objective 4: Reporting Activities:
- Write a logistics report: narrative of activities, stock reports, reports on donations in kind, list of car prices, equipment list, logistics organization chart (if relevant) ;
- Write minutes of meetings ;
- Write reports on incidents ;
- Security updates and reporting.

This list is not limited; the employee may be required to perform any other task necessary and compatible with its functions.
Knowledge/Skills/Behavior
- University degree in Management, Administration and diploma in supply chain management.
- At least 6 years relevant work experience in logistics, procurement, & security.
- Experience in international development and non-profit organization.
- Experience in the commodity management.
- Good computer skills; word, excel, PowerPoint and database.
- Very good communication skills and team player, as well as ability to work individually.
- Experience in writing reports in English.
- Ability to liaise with national authorities, NGO’s and other agencies.
- LTV Driving license and forklift driving certificate.
