This is what you’ll be doing:
- Develop data extraction pipelines for fleets of field devices and high-frequency research sensors over low-bandwidth communication links.
- Implement a highly available data warehouse using intuitive APIs and efficient query infrastructure.
- Build monitoring and control software that can display power grid problems in real-time and allow operators to allocate the appropriate resources needed to solve problems.
- Design intuitive access patterns that allow data science teams to perform analytics on collected data.
- Deploy new and existing cloud infrastructure that scales with a growing customer base.
- Collaborate with hardware teams, data scientists, full-stack engineers, and embedded software engineers to streamline workflows.

Requirements
To move forward in the application process you should have at least all of these:
- Extensive knowledge of one or more backend web frameworks.
- Ability to build scalable ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and APIs.
- An understanding of networking, file systems, and scripting that makes you comfortable developing on UNIX.
- Knowledge of version control, automated deployments, test pipelines, container configuration.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure solutions such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- 2-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
